This session will focus on pre-opening considerations for building a retail operation by chatting with Chris Horton, whose gym recently opened. We’ll discuss the ways in which his vision did and did not jive with reality, and how he incorporated that reality into his business plan.

  • Learn what to expect if you include retail in your business plan – budgeting, time investment, and space considerations.

The purpose of this series is to provide climbing gym owners, gym managers, and retail managers with best practices to run a successful retail operation. The first two sessions will focus on introductory content for folks who are new to retail or who aren't sure if retail is right for them. The second two sessions will dig deeper into best practices for more advanced programs. You can sign up for each session individually or attend all four sessions at a discounted rate.
