Session at the CWA Summit

At the 2025 CWA Summit, we’re debuting a new concept: the Community Hub Live Meetups on Friday morning.

These sessions are not like other Education Sessions. They are developed by people like you. And not just the universal you, but you, the person reading this. (In media, this is called ‘breaking the fourth wall’).

Our Education Sessions are run by experienced professionals on topics that cover the broad needs of the indoor climbing industry. Each session is vetted by our staff and committees before it is put on our schedule. We ensure that it will have the highest level of quality and meet learning objectives with a tangible takeaway. You will leave every session at the CWA Summit with some knowledge you can immediately take back to your facility.

And though some of these things may be true of our Community Hub Sessions, they’re even more than that. They’re less formal, much faster, and take multiple formats with a much wider range of accepted topics. They also allow new speakers to get experience with the CWA Summit and experience speaking at a conference.

They vary from networking-style events, like our Canadian Meet up, to topic-based and more session-adjacent, topics including fresh approaches to old problems, or hot topics in the industry.  We encourage affinity groups to take advantage of these times to discuss important issues around representation or their particular communities. We hope that people will see the space as an opportunity to have a slightly less formal but equally meaningful experience.
